Color Lithograph By 1888 Lautrec had broken with his early Impressionist manner to integrate his style with the influences of Degas, van Gogh, and the Japanese printmakers. A keen observer and a brilliant draftsman, Lautrec spent evenings on end at the concert halls near his Montmartre studio sketching the exaggerated expressions and movements of the performers.
