Centered in the photograph is the Washington Monument with the White House in the distance. Left of center is the Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool. To the far left is the Thomas Jefferson Memorial which is surrounded by cherry trees. To the far right is the United States Capitol with its reflecting pool in the foreground. The National Mall is the grassy area located between the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol.
