This photograph shows a spectacular twilight shot of Indianapolisą downtown skyline taken by James Blakeway. Centered in the photograph at the end of busy Meridian Street is Monument Circle with its tall Soldiers and Sailors Monument. To the left of Meridian Street in the foreground is Veterans Memorial Plaza and the Indiana War Memorial. On the right side of downtown is the Indiana State Capitol with the white roof of the Hoosier Dome visible behind the Capitol. Indianapolis is probably best known worldwide for the nearby Indianapolis motor Speedway, home to the Indianapolis 500.
