| | | About this item | The Edward Gorey House is pleased to announce that the Boston Animal Rescue League's Gorey inspired "Moonlight Ball" held this Saturday October 20th at the Boston Center for the Arts is officially sold out with over 500 people in attendance.
With the help of curator & directorRick Jones andthe trustees of the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust, the League's organizers have produced an incredible evening of Goreyfilled Halloweenelegance, including a fashion show by gothicdesigner, Kambriel (www.kambriel.com). All proceeds from the night's event will go to support the Boston Animal Rescue League's mission to support animal welfare in Massachusetts.
For those unable to attend but who would like to support the Gorey House, Gorey Charitable Trust andanimalwelfare, Lasermach Inc. has produced a commemorativemylar cel featuring theGorey artwork used for the evening's promotion.Limited to 1,000 pieces, the artwork comes from the slipcase ofGorey's "Vinegar Works" published in1963 as a boxed set featuring the first editions of "The Gashlycrumb Tinies", "The Insect God", and "The West Wing." This set is much coveted by Gorey collectors and fans.
Produced by permission of the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust, this cel is matted with acid-free matboard and measures 8 x 10, perfect for custom framing or a standard frame of your choice.
