...WARHOL- The Velvet Years
After hearing the Velvet Underground perform at the Cafe Bizarre in NYC in 1966, Warhol began his collaboration with the rock group and introduced Nico (Christa Paffgen) to the group. The Velvet Underground was made up of Lou Reed, John Cale, Sterling Morris and Moe Tucker. Warhol began producing The Exploding Plastic Inevitable, a multimedia "happenings" featuring VU, performances, film, and light shows.
