Airto is a native of Brazil and used to be Miles' percussionist. He sometimes plays so many musical instruments as one time it's hard to know where the sounds are coming from...nose whistles -flutes-drums-shakers of all kinds-tambourines-bells of every size-his feet do something along with his elbows...I think he could bang his head against a wall and it would come out music! He gets lost in it and the audience goes with him every time-back to the Brazillian jungle where he grew up. This, however, is a quiet moment - only two instruments: his voice and this transparent, silky-thin tambourine.
