Willabel Mitchell |
| As
a young woman Willabel Mitchell developed an interest in
photography and, although never formally trained in the
field, discovered a true talent. During World War II she started a business taking photographs of children to send to fathers overseas. She photographed children in the northern New York area for many years. In 1950 she turned to oil painting as a new hobby. A longtime resident of Watertown, NY, Willable spent her last years in Tampa, Florida. (c)1995 Graphique de France |
