angling and shooting sports worldwide. His work has

Gray's Sporting Journal, New York Times, Newsweek, Geo,

Trout, and the San Francisco Camera Work Gallery. Valentine caught his first trout, a hatchery brown, on a nymph from the Wissahicon Park in Philadelphia at age eight. "Happiness for me is a dusty lonely road in summer, with a full tank of gas and a camper full of fishing tackle...escaping the crowds of the city for the wonderful solitude of the river and its inhabitants. To breath crisp, clean air and to feel the sun at your back as you wade the water. I started taking my camera on these trips a few years ago after realizing there was a whole lot more to the world of angling than catching fish. My camera allows me to capture some of these wonderful moments." (c) The Image Exchange, 1995 |
